Play Neon Blade
A rain-soaked neon city, seen from the side. One slash kills whatever is in front of you, and one touch kills you.
First load is about 10 MB. Keyboard or touch. It is a wide game, so play it full screen. Open it full screen.
How to play
You run left to right through a neon city in the rain. Enemies die in one hit and so do you — there is no health bar, no lives counter and no damage to absorb. Touching anything hostile ends the attempt.
The restart is the design. A death costs about a third of a second before you are running again from the start of the level, which is short enough that retrying never feels like a punishment. A level taking twenty attempts to read is normal, and the twentieth attempt is the one you came for.

Before you start
- It is a wide game. The frame above is kept small so the page stays readable — open it full screen for the shape it was made for.
- Forty levels across two chapters, each chapter ending with a boss. The level select moves between them with Q and E.
- Guns run out. Picking one up is temporary; when it is empty you are back on the blade, which never runs out.
- The in-game text is in Chinese. This build was made for a Chinese app store and its menus have not been translated yet, so the table above is the English manual for it.
Frequently asked questions
- How hard is Neon Blade?
- Very. Anything hostile kills you on contact, so most attempts end in the first few seconds. That is deliberate — the level restarts almost immediately, so a death costs you seconds and nothing else.
- Is Neon Blade free?
- Yes. It runs in the browser with no download, no account and no payment.
- Does it work on a phone?
- There is a touch layer: tap to start, then either a virtual pad or gesture controls, switched with T. It plays far better on a keyboard, and much better full screen.
- How many levels are there?
- Forty, across two chapters, with a boss at the end of each one.
